How can I update my email for declined cards to be more clear?Updated 7 months ago

You can update the email that goes out from Shopify that is sent out in the case the payment fails / card declines. 

Above is an example of what this edit will look like.

Steps: 

(1) In your Shopify admin go to Settings -> Notifications -> Customer notifications >  click Customer payment method update request. 

(2) To edit the email, click 'Edit code'

(3) Find the bit of code:

And replace the part the highlighted part with (or whatever you'd like to include in the text):

To check your pre-order or get a new payment link please log in to https://app.getpurpledot.com/shopper with your pre-order confirmation number

Click preview to make sure the email will show as expected. If everything suits you, don't forget to click save at the top of the window. 

Done!
