This change is about doubling down to make your pre-order experience even better! Why are we making this change?To best support our merchants, we&#x2019;ve made the difficult decision to retire our self-service pre-order app.This allows us to focus fully on our enterprise product, which provides:<ul><li style="font-size: 16px;">FTC-compliant payment at time of order, and</li><li style="font-size: 16px;">Guaranteed compatibility with downstream fulfilment systems.</li></ul> Can I upgrade to the enterprise version of Purple Dot?If you expect to process $500k+ in pre-order GMV over the next 12 months, we&#x2019;d love to explore whether the enterprise version of Purple Dot is a good fit for you!Please reach out to <a href="mailto:sales@getpurpledot.com">sales@getpurpledot.com</a> to express your interest and we&#x2019;ll be in touch to arrange next steps. What happens if I don&#x2019;t upgrade?If you&#x2019;re unable to upgrade, your store will still be supported through the completion of any existing pre-orders.From February 25th, 2026:<ul><li style="font-size: 16px;">You will no longer be able to create new waitlists or take new pre-orders.</li><li style="font-size: 16px;">Any pre-orders placed before this date will continue to be managed by Purple Dot.</li></ul>We will support all open pre-orders until they are released for fulfilment or canceled, provided fulfilment completes by December 31st, 2026.Once your final pre-order has been released or canceled, the Purple Dot app will be automatically uninstalled from your store. What happens to existing pre-orders?All pre-orders placed before February 25th, 2026 will continue to be fully supported.Purple Dot will:<ul><li style="font-size: 16px;">Automatically release pre-orders for fulfilment when instructed, and</li><li style="font-size: 16px;">Trigger payment at the appropriate time, as per your existing setup.</li></ul>No action is required from you for existing pre-orders.
